About My Writing, What to Expect

Hello! I am Elisabeth! I have had a passion for writing for as long as I can remember. I am here to share my writing with you and share my passion for writing and reading as well.

First lets start with a little information about my writing process. One of the reasons I started writing was because as a child I was an extremely picky reader. It was always hard for me to find books that I wanted to read, books that interested me. One day I realized, if someone else hasn't written something I enjoy reading, I have to do it myself. Since then, part of my passion for writing has been a passion for creating something I enjoy reading, something that other people like me would enjoy reading.

A lot of authors create a story board, or a full plan of what they want their story to be about and the events they want to happen in their story. For me, I find approaches like this limiting. I may start a story with the intention of it being a romance story and as I am writing it realize it would work better as a mystery. When I write, I brainstorm a basic idea for a character and start writing. I introduce my character and become familiar with who they are and write my story from there.

Once I create a main character I will start to think about what situation this character is going to find themselves in. I try to stay vague with my understanding of this concept to allow my writing to flow to where ever it naturally goes.

I write for fun, not because I need to. I put time and effort into my writing in the hopes of creating something that most importantly I enjoy to go back and read. I love to hear that my writing entertains others because that means I have found people with similar interests to me.

My goal with publishing my writing online is to create a community of people who have a passion for reading similar things to me. I also hope to one day have a bunch of content on this blog to entertain the people who stumble across my blog for days.
